So… continuing the trend of communicating what has been going on, We’re still here! Things happen!

It rains in Santiago, Raptors get lost as they lose their sense of smell.

On my side: Santiago is freezing and as the rainy season begins, causing people’s driving skills to become extra special,  I decided to cut my hair in the worst possible time, so all my ideas are now frozen… and I have become adicted to Persona 4 …again! God dammit, I need ALL the social links!

But don’t worry, I’ve only been playing on what previously constituted my sleeping time, so I’ve also been working on BarrelBlast’s inApp store, and player customisation.
Sam has been polishing his animation skills, adding some awesome personality to all the different critters. And as a very first WORLD EXCLUSIVE!

More levels are also being made, and we are really getting a hang of the creation options, so prepare to be challenged!

We are also investigating about applying to a Chilean Govmnt. fund (CONICYT), and if we get it, we would further develop the extremophiles game that we prototyped for the scientific GameJam. And that’s a fair bit of paperwork.

Anyway, it’s back to work!

SO! we have been keeping radio silence for too long!

and since we are in the verge of releasing some new awesomenesses, I thought it would be good to tell you all what we have been up to (which is much).

I (Bernardo) got into a science based gamejam organized by the govmt. in Chile a few weeks ago, we did a game about Extremophiles which ended up as some surreal mix between flow and starfox…  the resulting games are currently being shown at the Exposition center in “La Moneda”, so if you are around and you have a minute, you can check out the dozen cool ideas that came out of there.
Anyhow, I know not many of you are in CHILE,  so there is VIDEO! Magical images from the cloud! check out what went down clicking the contraption below with your mouse! there’s even a few shots of my superbly handsome countenance.

On other news, Sam and our super secret Bugtus team have been polishing yet another project that is heading your way soon, but I cant say much about that one yet.
Sam and I are both currently working as fast as we can to finish our next iOS game codenamed BARREL BLAST, as we have for the last year…
We are at a state of polishing UI and finishing level creation.

But it is awesome,
and mr. MoneyCat approves:

Other than that I’ve been working on a realtime GI solution and a Voxellizer for unity, without too many results quite yet.. but when we have something to show, I’ll share it with the nets.

Hey, Long time  no see!

We’ve been extremely busy with several different projects that are soon coming your way,  as well as improvements for Draw that soon will follow, but although we are all about games, We did take our time to develop a more academic app exclusively for iPad, with the guidance of The national division of libraries, archives and museums of Chile, Dibam.

If you have an iPad and you are interested in poetry, make sure you download “los sonetos de la muerte” a biographical app that takes a closer look at the life of the Chilean Nobel Prize winning poet: Gabriela Mistral.

As many of you have noticed, Update 2.0.2 brought a lot of problems, being the most severe, the inability to change clothes, and the occasional failure to save game gold.

We have been working on this problems as wel as solving other issues, and Version 2.0.3 does take care of all the serious problems, but although it was uploaded to the APP certification service over a week ago, it still hasn’t been approved.
However, dont panic! At Raptus, we still strive to make Draw bigger and better than ever (and bring you more awesome games).

We are extremely sorry for this delay, and we hope that you are still enjoing the game.

We will soon be making some big announcements to everyone, so watch this space.

2.0.2 Update [Aug 27 2012]:
Some awesome players have communicated to us that there is a problem regarding character customisation in this update. Clothes and other customisation items are not displaying, and this is also causing occasional bugs when saving your money and progress.
This bug has been fixed and is currently awaiting approval from apple certification. It should be released this week.

For those of you updating your copy of Draw: The Showdown, we’ve compiled a list of changes that you will experience in version 2.0.2!

* Bug that didn’t load the correct number of bullets into certain guns has been fixed (our apologies to anyone affected by this!)

* Optimized the enemy rendering system, you will now have more enemies to shoot partner!

* Accuracy detection of your shots has been vastly improved

* Rare cases of those cheap bastards shooting you in the back should no longer occur

* Score to Gold conversion has been increased!

* A conversion from score to gold will be displayed within the post game store

It has been far far longer than we expected, this is a big step for us as developers.
We started draw more than a year ago, and we have been slowly improving our first commercial game up to now.

Be sure to drop by the new store, too. If you’re good enough, the shop-keep might allow you to purchase some of his unique VIP guns.
