NBB.EXE is a challenging fast paced puzzle platformer. Players must bomb their way to victory through devious gauntlets to reveal the secrets of the mysterious NEON Corp. in a colorful, vibrant world that reimagines Bomberman with a metroidvania twist.

History

NBB.exe started as a student project, adapting an old franchise to newer sensibilities. I picked BOMBERWOMAN and implemented circular bombs as shockwaves that players could jump over. It was so much fun playing couch co-op that I always wanted to revisit the concept.

Eventually I started redesigning it in full 3d, in a vibrant world with a much more intriguing setup. These bomberwomen are competitors in a future sport: NBB Arena, and all robot society is obsessed with it. However, it soon becomes evident that not everything is as it seems. Beneath all the bright lights NEON INDUSTRIES, the organizer of NBB Arena, is hiding something big.
