Tap & Blast is a physics based “aerial puzzle platformer” where players blast Red the Imp from barrel to barrel, outrunning the sun and keeping the celebration going all night. Inspired by some of our favorite gameplay in the Donkey Kong Country series, ‘Tap & Blast’ takes that premise and goes beyond it, offering an original take of this popular gameplay style never before seen in the App Store. We designed the steadily climbing challenge of levels in ‘Tap & Blast’ hoping that both dedicated gamers and casual players will find something to get excited about ( And hopefully even get casual players so invested that they become pro Blasters ). It’s a fun and intuitive experience that we hope everyone can enjoy.

Red the Imp is the endearingly mischievous spirit of celebration. Him and his friends are counting on you to help them keep the party going! The only problem? The night doesn't last forever, and if the day catches you, it's back to the boring daily routine.

If you blast high, and your aim is true, you'll be able to explore exotic locations and continue to bring joy to everyone around the world!

History

The second game developed by Raptus Games, and the first where the developers were completely from opposite sides of the world. Development began in January of 2012, chosen from various small protoypes and codenamed TNB. Sighting that traditional 2D and 3D platformers didn't quite work with the iOS control scheme, We looked to some of our favourite games for inspiration and Tap & Blast was born!.
